Jefferson Academy believes that academic preparation must be accompanied by moral, physical, and overall personal development and growth goals and objectives. As a result it is the Academy’s view that academic growth and indeed excellence can only be achieved when accompanied by personal development standards.
It is for this reason that the 3 R’s of personal development were established- REASON, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY. Under the tenants and guidelines of the 3R’s as established by Jefferson Academy, each student must respect the feelings, thoughts, and ideas of the others around them in an attempt to establish an environment that is conducive to joyful, collaborative learning. Our students are further expected to assume responsibility for their own actions while also developing an ability to reason. Furthermore, our students are expected to learn to work cooperatively with others towards the mutual goals for the fulfillment of common objectives.
